Began independently monitoring and synthesizing news coverage in the aftermath of September 11, 2001; that work grew into TransitSecurityReport.com, Inc., which now operates GlobalIncidentMap.com, a continuously updated global incident-monitoring platform. Directly responsible for editorial judgment, source vetting, and narrative analysis across 20 years of daily publication.

Outside of work, Morgan has volunteered for many years with the Fowler-O’Sullivan Foundation, a 501(c)(3) that continues the search for missing backpackers and other wilderness travelers after official efforts end. By reviewing drone imagery, he successfully located the remains of three missing people. Some of this work is described in Andrea Lankford’s New York Times bestseller Trail of the Lost: The Relentless Search to Bring Home the Missing Hikers of the Pacific Crest Trail .
